About Your Teachers

photo Maggie Gill

Maggie Gill is the Center Director for Fiddlesticks Music and has been has been teaching with Fiddlesticks Music since 2013. Maggie is also the Director of the Choir School at All Saints' Episcopal Church. Maggie holds a Master of Music in Church Music from Samford University and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and Music History from the University of Memphis. She has performed locally as Buttercup in the Birmingham Music Club production of Gilbert and Sullivan's HMS Pinafore, as a soloist in Opera Birmingham's Sounds of the Season concert, and as a chorister in the local ensemble, Sursum Corda. She has also performed as the soprano soloist in the Alabama Symphony Orchestra (ASO) Chorus performance of Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb, and with Opera Birmingham as the Lay Sister in Suor Angelica. With Samford Opera she performed the Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors and Ruth in Pirates of Penzance. She has served as the Director of Music for All Saints preschool, and as the music teacher for Creative Montessorri School in Homewood. While in Memphis, she was the Associate for Music and Children’s Choirs at Grace St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. She has also served as a teacher, performer, and director through many other church, education, and community music programs.

     
Davis Haines

Davis Haines has been singing and dancing since he was a young boy, mostly at home with his family. As an adult, Davis has been professionally singing, playing drums and guitar, writing, dancing, acting, and teaching in Chicago, LA, and New York City, and now here in his hometown. He currently writes and teaches for UAB’s ArtPlay and Vocabby’s World, serves as the Director of Creative Worship at Bluff Park United Methodist Church, and is pursuing a degree in Music Therapy. In addition to his creative pursuits, Davis has worked extensively with kids and adults with disabilities. Above all, he believes that all humans are creative and that fostering environments for kids and their loved ones to share in the creation of music is a gift to our world. Let's make musical memories together! Davis is a registered Music Together® teacher, plays the guitar, and has two young children of his own!

photo Elena Moreno

Elena Moreno is a passionate and experienced music educator with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of Montevallo. She has spent the past three years teaching elementary music at I3 Academy, where she is committed to fostering a lifelong appreciation for music in young learners. In addition to her role at I3 Academy, Ms. Moreno also serves as an Assistant Director in the All Saints Choir School, where she contributes to the development of well-rounded musicianship in children. Her work is driven by a deep passion for music and a steadfast belief in its power to inspire, educate, and enrich the lives of students.

     
KK Murphy

KK Murphy is a current Junior at UAB, where she is getting her BFA in Musical Theatre. You may have seen KK in titles such as She Kills Monsters (Evil Gabbi), Pirates of Penzance (Ruth), and Two Gentlemen of Verona (Cyndi). KK is originally from Columbus, Ohio, where she has built a professional and educational career. She has experience working as an educator and camp counselor at Columbus Children’s Theatre, where she performed as a preteen, and she won the CAPA Marquee Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2022 for her performance as Maggie Jones in 42nd Street. This is KK’s first year (2025) with Music Together®, and she is so excited to join the Fiddlesticks team!

photo Abigail Williams

Abigail Williams is a senior vocal performance major at Samford University from New Orleans, LA. Her previous credits include The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (puppeteer ensemble), The Light in the Piazza (assistant stage manager) Suor Angelica (ensemble and La Zia Principessa cover) and has participated in Opera Workshop scenes at Samford University. She has participated in young artist programs like Opera Viva! and Opera Lucca across Italy. She will be participating in Die Fledermaus in the ensemble in the fall at Samford University. Abigail is a choral scholar at All Saints Episcopal Church and has since joined the All Saints Choir School as an intern working with young choristers. This year (2025) is her first year participating in Fiddlesticks at All Saints and she is absolutely excited to start her adventures in Music Together teaching.
