COVID-19 Updates

Dear Fiddlesticks Families,

 

As the COVID-19 situation has developed, we have had to change our projected start of indoor, in-person classes. We will not resume these classes this summer.

 

This decision was made in an effort to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, and keep all of our music-makers safe. We are following the guidelines from the CDC, WHO, and local government, regarding group meetings, and school regulations. We will also continue to be in accordance with the decisions made by the leadership of All Saints Episcopal Church, where we hold classes.

 

We will continue offering online class options, and we will also offer outdoor in-person classes. These outdoor classes will be announced as either single-class options, or will be available to those who register for the online class options. Watch your email and social media for updates on these classes.

Dear Fiddlesticks Families,

 

As the COVID-19 situation has developed, we have had to change our projected start of in-person classes. As of now, we will not resume any in-person classes until after May 30, 2020.

 

This decision was made in an effort to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, and keep all of our music-makers safe. We are following the guidelines from the CDC and the WHO to limit group meetings, as well as local government decisions regarding school closures. We will also continue to be accordance with the decisions made by the leadership of All Saints Episcopal Church, where we hold classes.

 

Online Spring Session!

 

Due to this change, we will be offering a special Online Spring Session for the next couple of months! We will provide 45min of exclusive content a week in short videos for you and your child and other online content specifically crafted to helping you make music with your family during this unprecedented experience.

 

We will finish up the semester with in-person classes in the month of June. We will remain flexible during this process, and will follow local and national leadership to decide when to resume in-person classes.

 

You will also have the opportunity to use an online code for the Maracas Music Together® music, and we will also have two times for curbside pickup if you would like to receive a physical book and CD as normal.

 

Sing-a-long live-streams, parent education videos about your child's development, play-along recommendations, a personal "Hello Song" recorded by a teacher for you and your child... these are some of the great things to look forward to during this session!

 

 How will this impact your classes, payment, and registration?

 

- You will need to register for this new Online Spring Session. Your regular registration for Spring Session will NOT count toward this registration. To have an accurate count of who would like to join the Online Spring Session, a new registration is necessary. Just go to the “register” tab on our website as your normally do, and there will be all the info you need. Thank you all for understanding!

 

- If you had a make-up or last class that you missed the last week of Winter Session, your family will be given a make-up to use during the Summer Session or the in-person classes at the end of Spring Session. Merely email me in a couple of months to arrange for which class to attend.

 

- If you have already submitted a payment for the regular Spring Session, $100 per family can be used to pay your fee for the Online Spring Session. (This will cover your entire cost, as the online session is $100 per family.) The remainder of your payment can roll over to the Summer Session. Or you can wait and just use your payment to register for Summer Session. You may simply register for the Online Session and/or Summer Session normally, and we will apply your payment to your applicable registration.

 

As we continue to respond to this ongoing situation, we will update our website, email communication, and social media with information.

Hello Fiddlesticks Families!

 

This is such a strange time in the world, and I wanted to touch base with you all. We are going to be doing more online content in the coming couple of weeks, while we all keep a safe distance from each other. There are lots of unknowns, and lots of questions right now, but we are going to keep making music together and have lots of fun!

Dear Fiddlesticks Families,

 

After careful consideration, we have decided to suspend all music classes until April 7, 2020.

 

This decision was made in an effort to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, and keep all of our music-makers safe. We are following the guidelines from the CDC and the WHO to limit group meetings, and are monitoring the responses of local schools as we continue to plan. We will also be accordance with the decisions made by the leadership of All Saints Episcopal Church, where we hold classes. 

 

How will this impact your classes and registration?

 

- Our Spring Session will hold classes into the month of June to “make-up” the classes effected by our late start. We will remain flexible during this process, and will make every effort to ensure that you have ample make-up classes.

 

- If you had a make-up class this coming week, your family will be given an extra make-up to use during the Spring session.

 

- If for any reason a full session is cancelled, your payment for the unused session will roll over and be applied to the following session. You will simply register normally, and we will apply your payment to your registration.

 

As we continue to respond to this ongoing situation, we will update our website, email communication, and social media with information. We may even have some fun sing-along livestreams during the course of our time off!
